Recent articles illustrate executive expertise, national recognition
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (Nov. 18, 2011) – Weatherby Healthcare was featured in the Oct. 24 , 2011 issue of Modern Healthcare magazine as the No. 1 Best Place to Work in Healthcare. It also finished tops among midsized employers; read the story “Positive Thinking,” published in the same issue. The magazine annually recognizes outstanding employers in the healthcare industry on a national level.
“The win can be attributed to a large investment in employee engagement this past year,” explains Lynnette Odom, Weatherby Healthcare’s director of training and employee engagement. She also says Pat Kennedy, president, Weatherby Healthcare, and group president, CHG Healthcare Services, Weatherby Healthcare’s parent company, has kept the company culture a primary focus. Also, Advance: Executive Insight published “Staffing Strategies to Address Patient Influx”, a byline article by Ms. Kennedy, in the Sept. 26, 2011 online edition of the publication. It addresses how healthcare facilities can manage patient influx with locum tenens. “It's important to have a staffing strategy that goes beyond hiring more full-time physicians,” explains Ms. Kennedy in the article. “You'd be smarter to maintain flexibility with your staff so you can manage patient influx without overspending. This is where supplemental physician staffing or locum tenens can provide incredible value.”
